OCTOBER 08: This is little Layla (aka Shaska from Juliet's 08 litter)! She went home with David who lives in New York City, New York!

This is what Layla's owner had to say:
Courtney,
She is doing great, and yes we did rename her… Layla Victoria. We couldn’t believe how beautiful she was, and when researching the name further discovered it has the meaning dark beauty. A perfect fit for her in our opinion.
We had her in the vet the day after getting her, and also was able to get her in this past Monday for her next shot in the parvovirus series. The vet notes she is real healthy, was 2 lbs 9 ounces on September 27th and 3 lbs 4 ounces on Monday, October 6th. She eats just right, is quite playful and even has learned to play catch with a mini tennis ball. We are crate training her for sleeping purposes only at night, and have her crate near our bed. When its bed time, she loves to hop right in and curl up with a stuffed bear and a red blanket we got for her. She sleeps well and has pretty much learned to hold her pee throughout the night. Occasionally I’ll get up in the middle of the night if she didn’t go before bed time or lets us know. So, we decided to take advantage our back yard to get her accustomed to going to the bathroom outside; she has taken to it perfectly, and also is able to run around a bit too (which is nice considering we can’t have her out on the front streets until she finishes her shots). I read certain training techniques where a puppy can learn to ring a bell hung at the door to let us know she has to go to the bathroom. We started this with Layla immediately, ringing the bell when we took her to go potty. Now she is starting to learn to ring the bells herself, and responds immediately to “good girl go potty”. Really no accidents at all except for the first couple days. You are so right that she is such a capable and bright puppy. I think she is adapting perfectly. Sometimes in her playfulness she likes nipping at our hands, so we are staying steady in trying to get her to learn to play nice…. And I’m sure she’ll learn eventually.
Attached are some pictures of her, and I’ll be sure to send more soon. Best, David

OLIVER AND JAMIE!!!
He is doing so great!! He is getting along great with our sheltie, Nemo and
LOVES to chase our cat, Mia! Mia is okay with it as long as she can make it
to the stairs. She has figured out that Oliver is scared to go down them,
so she sits like 4 steps down and stares up at him. It drives him nuts!!!
